The IT Department implemented the GIS based resource Mapping project in 16 CD Blocks of Kamrup(M) & Kamrup District. Non spatial data and base map preparation are completed for 21 CD Blocks of Nalbari, Darrang & Jorhat Districts. GPS surveys of these blocks are going on.

All the existing resources/ infrastructures like roads, embankments, educational institutions, offices, water supply schemes, health establishments, security establishments, public amenities etc. has been surveyed with photograph and integrated in GIS platform. All the Government Schemes like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana(PMGSY), beneficiary of Indira Awaas Yojana(IAY) and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act scheme (MGNREGA) has been surveyed and integrated in GIS platform
